To confirm the effectiveness of mio aid in the regeneration of tendon, ligament and muscle tissues, in vitro studies were performed using tenocytes embedded in fibrin gel. The study was conducted for 6 weeks, and the control parameter was the increase in the diameter of collagen fibrils. A placebo product was used as a control. The largest increases were recorded on days 14 to 42.

Glucosamine sulphate is a natural building component of cartilage tissues and the intercellular matrix.
Glucosamine shows much better bioavailability in topical application compared to oral administration, due to the omission of the digestive system and the breakdown of glucosamine in the liver.
With topical administration, glucosamine reaches the place where it is most needed in greater concentration.

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a promoter of the transfer of active substances into the tissues, thanks to a temporary disruption of the physiological barrier of the skin (the effect of the interaction of DMSO with fats), causes a local increase in the concentration of the applied active substance.
DMSO additionally exhibits anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects as a result of a temporary blockade of nerve conduction, which inhibits local and peripheral inflammatory reactions. This compound also causes an increase in the number of heparin-secreting mast cells in the connective tissue, which accelerates granulation and may result in silencing ongoing inflammation.

Methylsulfonethane (MSM) reduces inflammation, but also reduces pain, stiffness and swelling resulting from arthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders.
It provides sulfur for the production of amino acids necessary for the formation of new tissues and their regeneration.

Carnosine (dipeptide composed of β-alanine and histidine) neutralizes free radicals and supports the work of cell mitochondria. Strong antioxidant properties ensure that it effectively removes the excess of hydrogen ions that are produced during intense physical exercise - it prevents the formation of soreness and increases muscle endurance.

Arnica Mountana has anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling, anti-thrombotic properties, stimulates and improves blood circulation.

Essential oils - relieve pain, improve blood circulation and have anti-inflammatory properties (e.g. clove oil provides a number of complex organic substances, including methyl salicylate, which has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and warming properties).
