Specialized, regenerative cooling gel designed for sport horses exposed to strong and long-lasting training overloads.
The product DOES NOT CONTAIN substances recognized by the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale) as doping substances indicated in the 'Equine Prohibited Substances List' (EPSL). |
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
MENTHOL, WORMWOOD EXTRACT, CALENDULA EXTRACT, ARNICA EXTRACT, EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL, PEPPER MINT ESSENTIAL OIL, LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL, CAMPHOR.
OPTIMAL COOLING TIME
The ingredients of the gel and their concentrations have been selected in such a way as to ensure an immediate and long-lasting cooling effect, but not to slow down the circulation and overcool the limbs.
Menthol used in the product by local irritation of thermal receptors in the skin reduces the sensitivity of the sensory fibers that conduct pain, thanks to which it has local anesthetic and diastolic effect, while ensuring a pleasant feeling of coolness and relaxation.
Camphor used in the water formulation perfectly penetrates the skin, causing a feeling of cold, similar to menthol and works synergistically with it, strengthening and extending the cooling and anesthetic effect, at the same time demonstrating the effect of supporting circulation.
A unique combination of eucalyptus, peppermint and lavender essential oils thanks to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and analgesic properties, brings immediate relief to overtrained tissues and reduces muscle tension. cool it also prevents joints from stiffening after exercise.
Eucalyptus oil has an additional effect supporting blood circulation, therefore it is recommended in the case of muscle pains, the so-called soreness, occurring after intense and prolonged exertion, especially in horses regaining fitness after a long break.
Arnica Montana extract has a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling effect. It stimulates circulation, effectively dispersing the fluids accumulated in damaged tissues (blood, plasma or lymph). As a result, cool it effectively removes swellings and hematomas.
Helenalin and dihydrohelenalin contained in the extract of arnica inhibit the activation of transcription factors (FN-kappa-B and NF-AT), involved in inducing the inflammatory process, leading to the resorption of inflammation.
Sesquiterpenes and flavonoids present in the Calendula extract show the ability to inhibit the enzymes COX1 and COX2, responsible for the production of inflammatory mediators and analgesic effects.
Wormwood extract, due to its strong analgesic and relaxing properties, is perfect for the treatment of articular and rheumatic degenerations, and also perfectly relieves muscle, bone and joint pain and relieves stiffness during movement.
To test the effectiveness of the cool it preparation, we used the infrared imaging technique. The study was carried out on a healthy gelding (6 years old, KWPN breed), regularly used jumping training.
